Choosing between a standard and a heavy-duty widget

Most people who ask for the heavy-duty widget do not need it, and most people who need it did not ask. Here is the short version.

If it runs indoors, dry, and under about four hours a day, the standard widget will outlive the machine it is bolted to. If it runs wet, outdoors, or all day, buy the heavy-duty one and stop thinking about it.

The sealed bearing is the whole difference. Everything else about the two is the same, including the bolt pattern, so you can swap one for the other later without changing the mount.
